Radnorshire, also known as Radnor, is a historic county in Wales known for its picturesque towns and villages. Here’s an overview of some of the interesting ones:

Builth Wells & Llanelwedd
Home to the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells hosts various events throughout the year. The high street is worth a browse and the town also has a pleasant riverside park and a historic bridge.

Llandrindod Wells
Famous for its Victorian spa heritage, Llandrindod Wells offers spa treatments, beautiful parks, and the National Cycle Museum. It’s a lovely spot for relaxation and exploration.

Knighton
Situated on the border with England, Knighton is known for the Offa’s Dyke Path, a long-distance footpath following the ancient earthwork. The town offers stunning views and access to the Radnor Forest.

Rhayader Located near the Elan Valley, Rhayader is a gateway to the stunning dams and reservoirs of the Elan Valley, which provide scenic walks and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

New Radnor
A small village with a rich history, New Radnor boasts a beautiful church and the ruins of a 13th-century castle. It’s a peaceful place to explore.

Llanwrtyd Wells
Known for quirky events like the World Bog Snorkelling Championship and the Man vs. Horse Marathon, this town offers a unique and fun experience for visitors.

Llanbister

Painscastle
This historic village has remnants of a medieval motte-and-bailey castle. It’s a peaceful spot for a stroll and a glimpse into the past. Enjoy a pint at The Roast Ox after a walk overlooking the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons

Presteigne
This small market town is known for its charming streets and the Judge’s Lodging Museum, which provides a glimpse into Victorian life. Presteigne also hosts the annual Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts.

Beguildy
Nestled in the rolling hills of Radnorshire, Beguildy offers a serene escape with its scenic surroundings and a lovely 14th-century church.
