Terms & Conditions

< back to blog

Fforest Fields is a relaxed, family-run site with camping pitches, glamping yurts and a self-catering holiday cottage.  We are passionate about creating a friendly atmosphere on site and will do everything we can to ensure you have a fantastic stay. We are always here to talk through any concerns you have.

Cancellations, changes & refunds

We take a 30% non refundable deposit on booking

If you cancelling 31 days or more before your stay we can move the booking, or refund all but the deposit. If you are cancelling 30 days or less before your stay then we can move the booking to a future date that year. We can’t rollover bookings into the following year. We may be able to for certain circumstances.

For arranged events and gathers these terms may be different. Please see individual event.

Yurt Damage Bond: We take a small damage bond (£50) upon booking, to encourage guests to treat our property with respect while staying. We understand that things can happen and ask that you let us know if anything gets broken while you are staying. This bond will be refunded within 7 days of your stay and based on a thumbs up from our cleaning team.

Pitching together with family and friends in 2024

We ask for a 3-pitch together maximum for groups in 2024.

We have capped groups at 3 units together for 2024. Pop the details on your booking and we’ll find you the perfect spot together. We are strict only 3 together rule. Please understand our reasoning and don’t try to subvert it by creating separate groups who are actually all together. If we see that happening on site we will likely ask you all to leave. We will review this in 2025, because we have had so many happy groups here over the years, but we’re keen to pause it for a year at least.

——

Your Pitch Selection

We have 30 years of pitching experience, and every pitch on the campsite is special in its own way.  We will do everything we can to find you the right spot. Please work with our team and let us know what you are looking for. At busier times of the year, you may not get everything you were looking for but hopefully our ethos will help you enjoy it just as much.

Holiday Cottage & Glamping

Please contact us on 01982 570 452 or via our contact form if you would like to amend your booking for the cottage or glamping yurts, in some circumstances, we can postpone and amend your booking but this will depend on the notice and will be at our discretion.

——

Refusal of a booking

Very occasionally we refuse a booking, it is our job to ensure there is harmony on site and it is at our discretion who we allow onto the site. We are also not obligated to discuss our reason/s . We reserve the right to refuse future bookings based on previous behavior on site, rudeness to our staff or disregard for the community here at Fforest Fields.

——

Antagonistic, rude or unfriendly behaviour on site

Very occasionally we’ll get a troublesome group or visitor, we will always try to guide people towards fitting into the community and creating a harmonious atmosphere on site but there are clashes from time to time.  In our 30 year history, we have only asked a handful of visitors to leave early due to disruption and it has only ever been after a conversation and a number of ‘chances’ but we reserve the right to refuse your stay if you don’t want to listen to our concerns. We understand that you are on holiday and want to help you have the best stay possible but our duty is to the campsite as a whole and we need to be firm and fair if there is any unwarranted disruption.

Our dedicated team are ready to help and support you if  you are dissatisfied in any way, just come and speak to us on site or in reception. We ask that you work with us to resolve any issues – respect and understanding will be met with the same.

Can I please ask what the playing music policy is? If music is played during the day and LI is this acceptable as I can’t see any rules on this other than no load noise after 1030pm which I totally understand.
    Thanks in advance Jason.
