Tell Your Story: a free workshop for local visitor businesses
On Thursday 5 November, join us at Fforest Fields for Croeso Hosts: Telling Your Story, a free workshop for businesses welcoming visitors to Radnorshire and the surrounding area.
Every business has stories worth telling. Often, they're found in the everyday things we take for granted. The people, places, small details and moments that make what we do special. Things we might barely notice, but that visitors find fascinating.
This friendly, practical workshop brings together people from our market towns, villages and rural communities to explore how we can tell our stories better, share what makes this part of Wales special and encourage more people to visit.
Whether you run accommodation, a café, an attraction, an activity or another local visitor business, you're very welcome.

This is a relaxed, practical workshop with plenty of opportunity for conversation, questions and sharing ideas with other local businesses.
Over coffee and a few simple exercises, we'll explore:
Finding your stories: recognising the people, places and everyday details that make your business interesting.
Seeing things differently: looking at your business and the surrounding area through a visitor's eyes.
Sharing what you do: using photographs, words and simple ideas to communicate more effectively.
Learning from each other: exchanging experiences, making connections and discovering opportunities to work together.
Good storytelling can help people discover your business, understand what makes it different, and feel more confident about booking or visiting.
It can also help guests feel more connected to a place, encourage them to return, and give them something worth recommending to others.
We'll look at how to put these ideas into practice without making marketing feel like another enormous job.
Not at all. You don't need marketing experience, fancy equipment or a talent for writing.
Before you come, you might like to spend a little time thinking about what your visitors enjoy, the questions they ask and the things about your business or local area that you particularly love.
Nothing formal. Just a little curiosity.
Anyone involved in welcoming visitors to Radnorshire and its neighbouring towns and valleys.
Whether you run accommodation, a café, a shop, an attraction, an activity or another business connected to the visitor economy, you're welcome.
Croeso Hosts brings together people working in our local visitor economy to learn useful skills, share experiences and get to know one another.
It's an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, think about our businesses and build stronger connections across the area.
We're delighted to have the support of Brecon Beacons Tourism and Sarah Brice of Bannau Creative in bringing this free workshop together.
