Pitch Kitchen is a private chef experience at the Fforest Dome following an afternoon the countryside of Radnorshire: time to walk, swim, wander, sit in the grass, pour a drink, watch the light shift across the fields and enjoy the rare feeling of having nowhere else to be.
The Dome and the land around it are yours for the afternoon. Take a walk through the woods, jump in the lake, bring grandparents, children, cousins, old friends, the people you have been meaning to gather for ages. There is space to spread out, catch up, drift off for a little while, come back hungry, and slowly find your way to the table.
Dinner begins from around 6pm.
Michael Brasco cooks a relaxed seasonal supper built around great local ingredients, bright salads, warm bread, roasted dishes, generous bowls for passing around and fire-infused flavour. The food is fresh, full of taste and made for sharing; not formal, not fussy, but beautiful in the way good food is when it belongs to the place and the moment.
As evening settles, the Dome becomes the heart of it all. The table is laid, glasses catch the light, the hills sit quietly beyond the windows, and the meal stretches gently on. Plates are passed. Children drift in and out. Stories start. People move seats. Someone pours another drink. The outside world feels a long way off.
For birthdays, family gatherings, anniversaries, holiday evenings, long-awaited get-togethers or simply a night that deserves more than the usual, Pitch Kitchen is a lovely way to be away from it all; walking, swimming, eating, laughing and being properly together.
£950 for up to 12 people. Arrive from 2pm and let the day loosen into the evening.
