Heart of Wales Geopark / Geoparc Calon Cymru is hosting free all-day events to celebrate the launch of the Heart of Wales Geopark! Discover the rich geological heritage of the Builth–Llandrindod Inlier, one of the world's most significant Ordovician sites, and learn how it has shaped our history, culture, and biodiversity. Don't miss guided tours, expert talks, and interactive exhibits for all ages!
Schedule 🗣️
→ 10.00– 13.00: Fossil ID & handling session at Radnorshire Museum
→ 10.30 & 12.00: Guided walks from the Lake to the Rock Park
→ 14.00 – 15.00: Opening talk by Joe Botting & Lucy Muir at the Metropole Hotel
→ 15.00 – 17.00: Chat to local geology, heritage and biodiversity groups (Metropole Hotel)
