Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons really are one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in Britain. Sat within the Brecon Beacons National Park, which consists of mountains, moorland, forests, lakes and the Usk Valley.  There is lots to do in the region, from adventure activities such as climbing, caving, horse riding and more to great places to eat and relax.  The highest point of the Brecon Beacons is Pen-y-Fan (2,906 ft.) and makes a good days walk.

In October 2005, the Brecon Beacons National Park was awarded the European Geopark Network and has more recently become a certified ‘Dark Sky’ region, recognising the lack of light pollution and protecting this unique national park into the future.
