The Green Man Festival is located in the stunning countryside of the Brecon Beacons. Having stated out as a gathering for friends and family, the founder Fiona Stuart and her son Ben saw the potential and have since added to the line up with spoken word, comedy, science and therapy. Alongside this is a great line up of music, from well-known bands to offbeat outfits that are bound to get you dancing. In 2016 the festival welcomed Laura Marling, Belle and Sebastian and Grandaddy among many others.
Renowned for its non-corporate, ethical approach, Green Man has won numerous awards and looks set to be part of the local cultural scene for many years to come. It has given thousands of people an opportunity to explore this sparsely populated area and we love welcoming festival goers to the site. Some looking to prepare for the fun ahead, others looking to wind down in the lush green surroundings of Fforest Fields.
The Green Man now welcomes 20,000 visitors, with ten entertainment areas and 1500 performers – stocked with local ale, good food, all-night bonfires for four days. While the festival has expanded, it has a core of loyal visitors who help maintain the ethos on which the festival was founded. The festival is independent, family-run and focused on fun. The Green Man Festival is a true shining light in the cultural landscape of mid Wales.
Fforest Fields is north of the festival and we welcome many visitors who would like accommodation in the area before or after the festival. We have plenty of pitches for camping and campervans or two well appointed self-catering holiday cottages, or if you are looking for a little under canvas luxury before the festival then take a look at our Glamping Bell Tents.
