“After much searching for a campsite where our family of 5 could have a break away and enjoy some outdoors activities we found Fforest Fields. Even before booking I was sold on the place, the reality was every bit as good as the expectations.”

“Have been a camper for 30 years, this has to be the best site visited. It was a tad wet the weekend I visited – but this is the first time I have seen a campsite with decent drainage that doesn’t mean rain = mud and puddles, to those who are wondering yes I was camping on real grass. The facilities were 5* always spotlessly clean, with great little takeaway cafe that wasn’t extortionately priced, all your essentials available in the shop. The laundry, washing up, fridge/freezer, charging stations all well laid out and again spotlessly clean. Well Done Fforest Fields – you have brought camping into the 21st century and to top it all it is in a wonderful setting with beautiful walks and even a boating lake and separate fishing pond.”

“High time to write a review over this beautiful campsite. When we first booked here, we were charmed by the promising website, so we thought maybe our expectations might be to high. But from day one we felt at home after a warm welcome and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the great space and diversity of nature on the site. The owners are very helpful and take good care of their campsite and nature all around, so they expect the same from you. Children of all ages are enjoying themselves in all kinds of weather, playing foot, canoeing or swimming in the pond, exploring the little stream (with shallow ponds) that runs through the site. You can start great walks directly from the campsite. This is a rather large campsite, but still you won’t feel overcrowded because of the many trees and hedges full of wildlife and the large pitches, some of them all-weather pitches. Plenty of hot water in the showers, a well equipped laundry and washing up room, fridge and freezer at the reception, and a small stock of basic supplies. So all is there to have a fine stay in a friendly atmosphere and stunning landscape.”

“Amazing location and scenery backed up by incredibly friendly staff and great facilities including bar, cafe with great food, well-stocked shop, ‘free’ kayaking, lake to swim in, woodland/countryside cycling/running routes.
This was also a great site for kids with everyone running wild and playing together in an extremely safe and open environment but remarkably respectful of sleeping times too 😉
We took advantage of the cycle route through the wood to a pub for a lunch one day and were pleasantly surprised by some fairy doors in trees and wild raspberries en route – this was an idyllic site!”

“This is the best camp site we’ve ever visited. The staff are very friendly and helpful at anytime of day, the surroundings are beautiful and the facilities are second to none.”

“…the layout is so thoughtful that there is something for everyone here. There are little stream-side pitches or more open spaces to choose, a lovely lake for swimming (two kayaks to borrow), the loveliest of owners and *shudders with joy* bathroom blocks that are… marvellous beyond words. Logs, phone charging all that important stuff as well as the feel of a small site. Also great if you paraglide, which is a draw for us. Dog friendly. Lush.”

“The camp site lived up to everything I had been told & more.. A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need & with the most friendly staff & owners. We came away already booking our next visit in a few weeks & wanting to run a place just like it.. Clean facilities, delicious food as well as visits from a Thai food van & oven pizza van.. If you visit don’t forget a dip in the lake & any of the food from the cafe.. Love love love”

“This campsite is brilliant. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful, the site and facilities are clean, the surroundings are beautiful and we had glorious sunshine for most of our stay!

We stayed on 2 electric grass pitches in the sports field, and there was loads of space for the children to run around. The pitch sizes are generous and the tents/caravans nicely spread out. Between us we have 9 kids ranging in age from 2 to 18, and all of them had a great time. So did our dog. They particularly loved the lake, swimming, rowing around In a rubber dingy and leaping off the jetty. The dog learned to swim!

It seems the site managers have thought of everything. You can hire a fire pit or a bbq. There is a laundry (with coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers, and there’s even an iron), and a drying room. There are plenty of showers, plus parent and child washrooms. There are plenty of sinks and draining boards for washing up. Also, there are campers fridges, freezers. And a microwave. Oh, and mobile phones be charging points!

There is a lovely relaxed communal atmosphere at cafe/bar area, and the whole place just feels really friendly. The honesty shop idea is brilliant and really useful as we discovered at about 11pm on the first night that my daughter forgot her toothbrush!

Before we left we decided that we will definitely book again for next year, and stay longer next time!”
