Ffynnonau Holiday Cottage

 

A perfect place for a relaxing break at any time of year, Fforest Fields holiday cottage has excellent walking, mountain biking, horse riding and paragliding just outside your door and many other activities within easy reach of the house.

Close to Builth Wells, Hay on Wye and Elan Valley and near to our campsite with swimming and fishing lakes.

Fforest Fields Cottage is a beautiful 17th century cottage complete with oak beams and cosy log fire. There is a well equipped kitchen with modern appliances, a spacious sitting room and dining room with access to the terrace at the back of the house. The bathroom is also on the ground floor with a bath and overbath power shower.  Upstairs there is a very pretty double bedroom with antique bed (new and comfortable mattress!), oak beams and rocking chair.  The second, twin room has enough space to put a put-u-up bed if an extra bed is required.

There is a little single room, ideal for a child, however, it does have a standard single so fine for an adult or teenager.

The location of our cottage is an ideal base for either those looking for a relaxing break or an action packed holiday, there is plenty to do right outside you door. We have excellent links to sightseeing, walking, fishing, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, paragliding, birdwatching, eating, shopping, or even lounging about and snoozing.

All windows have stunning views of the beautiful welsh marches.

Dogs welcome, but please let us know before hand if you are bringing any.

The cottage has been sympathetically restored in a traditional decor, very comfortable beds, lots of hot water and a room for dogs to sleep in.

The cottage is approximately 1 mile from a minor A road and so has no traffic noise and is a very peaceful place to be. The property is part of our farm and so you have the chickens, sheep and pigs to watch and enjoy. The cottage is very close to the campsite, 10 minutes walk from the cottage, at the campsite there are two lakes, one for fishing and one for fun, boating, swimming, walking and picnicking besides. Guests at the cottage can take advantage of these.

She prepares delicious, home cooked food and is happy to put some of her dishes in a freezer for you to enjoy during your stay!

Booking Conditions

Our cottage is available for Weekends and weekly rentals. 50% deposit to secure booking and then final payment 1 calender month before date of arrival.
